Urethane - Timber Coatings

MONOTHANE SILVER GLOSS

Single pack moisture cure polyurethane, formulated for the most discerning budget while retaining extremely good gloss, flow and levelling properties.
USES:

  • May be used for interior coating of ALL timber species, cork, particle board and concrete.
  • Can be applied over TIMBERSEAL OR DUOTHANE FAST A/ DUOTHANE PART A and DUOTHANE PART B.
  • Compatible with MONOTHANE HS 50 GLOSS, MONOTHANE 45 GLOSS & MONOTHANE LOW SHEENS.
MONOTHANES SILVER SATIN

Single pack moisture cure polyurethane that provides a 50-60% reflectance, formulated to meet modern reduced sheen design criteria. Recommended for internal use as a final coat.

USES:

  • Provides a hard wearing Satin finish which maintains the natural character of timber.
  • Apply over MONOTHANE HS 50 GLOSS, MONOTHANE 45 GLOSS, MONOTHANE 44 GLOSS or DUOTHANE.
  • May be mixed with MONOTHANE GLOSS.
SILVERSEAL

A rapid drying timber sealer for all timber species, cork and particle board. May be mixed with fine saw dust to slurry consistency, for use as a filler for timber seams.

SILVERSEAL is highly flexible, and therefore when worked well into tongue & groove seams prevents entry of the subsequent coat of Polyurethane and can virtually eliminate edge bonding. Also available in a HIGH SOLIDS variant, offering greater build properties.


TungSeal

Designed for addition to MODIFIED OIL GLOSS & SATIN, TUNGSEAL and suitable for addition to NATURAL DECKING OIL. Recommended for use in conditions of low temperature and/or with timber containing high levels or oil and/or wax.

DIRECTIONS:

Recommended for use in conditions of low temperature or with timber containing high levels of oil or waxes.
Add at the rate of to 50mls per litre of MODIFIED OIL GLOSS, TUNGSEAL and MODIFIED OIL SATIN.
Suitable for addition to Urethane Coatings NATURAL DECKING OIL, in conditions of low temperature and/or with decking timber containing high levels or oil and/or wax.

Monothane HS 50 Gloss

Single pack moisture cure polyurethane sets the industry standard of 50% solids, providing extremely good flow and leveling properties.

  • May be used for interior coating of ALL timber species, cork, particle board and concrete.
  • Can be applied over TIMBERSEAL OR DUOTHANE FAST A/ DUOTHANE PART A and DUOTHANE PART B.
  • Compatible with MONOTHANE 45 GLOSS, MONOTHANE 44 GLOSS & MONOTHANE LOW SHEENS.
Monothane 45 Gloss

Single pack moisture cure polyurethane sets the industry standard of 45% solids, providing extremely good flow and leveling properties.

  • May be used for interior coating of ALL timber species, cork, particle board and concrete.
  • Can be applied over TIMBERSEAL OR DUOTHANE FAST A/ DUOTHANE PART A and DUOTHANE PART B.
  • Compatible with MONOTHANE 45 GLOSS, MONOTHANE 44 GLOSS & MONOTHANE LOW SHEENS.

Monothanes - Semi gloss

Single pack moisture cure polyurethane that provides a 70-80% reflectance, formulated to meet modern reduced sheen design criteria. Recommended for internal use as a final coat.

  • Provides a hard wearing Semi Gloss finish which maintains the natural character of timber.
  • Apply over MONOTHANE HS 50 GLOSS, MONOTHANE 45 GLOSS, MONOTHANE 44 GLOSS or DUOTHANE.
  • May be mixed with MONOTHANE GLOSS.
Monothanes - Satin

Single pack moisture cure polyurethane that provides a 50-60% reflectance, formulated to meet modern reduced sheen design criteria. Recommended for internal use as a final coat.

  • Provides a hard wearing Semi Gloss finish which maintains the natural character of timber.
  • Apply over MONOTHANE HS 50 GLOSS, MONOTHANE 45 GLOSS, MONOTHANE 44 GLOSS or DUOTHANE.
  • May be mixed with MONOTHANE GLOSS.
Monothanes - Matt

Single pack moisture cure polyurethane that provides a dead flat finish. Sometimes used as an additive to MONOTHANE GLOSS to adjust gloss levels for a specific requirement.

Recommended for internal use as a final coat.

  • SHAKE WELL and/or STIR THOROUGHLY
  • Provides a hard wearing Matt finish which maintains the natural character of timber.
  • Apply over MONOTHANE HS 50 GLOSS, MONOTHANE 45 GLOSS, MONOTHANE 44 GLOSS or DUOTHANE.
  • May be mixed with MONOTHANE GLOSS

Duothane Part A

High Gloss 2 pack polyurethane. DUOTHANE provides excellent flow and 'bridging' properties, and will cure overnight even under adverse conditions. i.e. can be 'sanded to a powder', and is resistant to scuffing in the crucial early stages of curing.

  • May be used for interior coating of ALL timber species and particle board.
  • Mix DUOTHANE FAST A with DUOTHANE PART B for a quick drying first coat.
  • Mix DUOTHANE PART A with DUOTHANE PART B for a hard wearing top coat with excellent flow properties and resistance to U.V. light.
  • May be applied over TIMBER SEAL.
Duothane Part B

High Gloss 2 pack polyurethane. DUOTHANE provides excellent flow and 'bridging' properties, and will cure overnight even under adverse conditions. i.e. can be 'sanded to a powder', and is resistant to scuffing in the crucial early stages of curing.

  • May be used for interior coating of ALL timber species and particle board.
  • Mix DUOTHANE FAST A with DUOTHANE PART B for a quick drying first coat.
  • Mix DUOTHANE PART A with DUOTHANE PART B for a hard wearing top coat with excellent flow properties and resistance to U.V. light.
  • May be applied over TIMBER SEAL.
Duothane Fast A

When mixed with equal parts of DUOTHANE Part B produces a first coat that can be sanded to a powder after 45 minutes. In very cold conditions the ratio of DUOTHANE FAST A should be increased to 2 parts mixed into 1 part DUOTHANE Part B.

  • DUOTHANE FAST A is suitable for interior coating of ALL timber species,particularly HARDWOODS.
  • DUOTHANE FAST A is not suitable for cork floors, use TIMBERSEAL as a sealer coat.
  • DUOTHANE FAST A is a genuine first coat, it is not just a sealer but produces a coating with a solids content greater than 40%.
  • DUOTHANE FAST A may be applied over TIMBER SEAL.

TimberSeal

Cleaning Solvent

High Gloss 2 pack polyurethane. DUOTHANE provides excellent flow and 'bridging' properties, and will cure overnight even under adverse conditions. i.e. can be 'sanded to a powder', and is resistant to scuffing in the crucial early stages of curing.

Blended for washing and cleaning all rollers, applicators, brushes and equipment. NOT designed as a Thinner.

Urethane Coatings BLENDED CLEANING SOLVENT is for washing and cleaning brushes, rollers and lambs wool applicators and associated equipment. This solvent is NOT designed to be used as a thinner for Urethane Coatings products.

Thinners

Designed to reduce or thin MONOTHANE, DUOTHANE, & TIMBERSEAL.

Urethane Coatings THINNERS may be used to reduce MONOTHANE HS - 50 GLOSS, MONOTHANE 45 GLOSS, MONOTHANE 44 GLOSS, MONOTHANE SEMI GLOSS, MONOTHANE SATIN, MONOTHANE MATT, DUOTHANE PART A, DUOTHANE PART B and TIMBERSEAL.

Flowmate Wet Edge Extender

Designed for addition to DUOTHANE, MONOTHANE GLOSS, SEMI GLOSS, SATIN and MATT to enhance flow characteristics. Recommended for use in conditions of cold and heat, and or especially large areas where it is difficult to maintain a 'wet edge'.

Flowmax Anti Rejection Fluid

Designed for addition to DUOTHANE, MONOTHANE GLOSS, SEMI GLOSS, SATIN, MATT, TUNGSEAL, MODIFIED OIL GLOSS and MODIFIED OIL SATIN. Recommended for use when rejection occurs (when the coating is pulling back to form 'craters' of 'fisheyes')
